PICKING THE SITE

Selecting the optimal location for your new boiler is important and you need to consider several things when choosing the location:

You can’t move it once you set it up, so choose a location that suits your needs without interfering with future plans to expand your house or yard. Place the stove where prevailing winds push the smoke away from your building. Within reason, closer to your building is better; less pipe to buy and less trench to dig. You’ll also need room for a season’s worth of wood. You will need a level pad on which to place your boiler. Paving stones over packed earth or sand/gravel work as well as poured concrete. Note; boilers that are on an uneven surface do not work as well as it will impede the convection that moves water around within the boiler

Remember you cant move it once you set it up, so choose a location that suits your needs without interfearing with future plans to expand your house or yard
Placing the stove in this location might not be ideal
Placing the stove here might be better, less trench to dig and less pipe to buy, also not too close to the house.
