First fill your system with water and turn on the pump, carefully checking each connection for leaks. If there is a leak that doesn’t respond to a little more muscle power, you must turn off the system and drain the water, then remake the connection. Leaks are normally the result either of not tightening connections sufficiently, or using too little thread tape.
Be very attentive at this stage as with your circulating pump running 24 hours a day, even the smallest leak will empty your system very quickly.
Once you have eliminated all leaks you can go ahead and start your fire for the first time.
The heating circuit we have used as an example here is the simplest circuit there is and it gets more complicated if you have in floor heating or a heat exchanger for your hot water system. Overall, however, you should now be able to enjoy significant savings on your heating bills
